*SOLD* 'Arabella' is a 37” dapple grey F H Ayres rocking horse on a safety stand, circa 1920.
Arabella has been left as untouched as possible, we have simply tidied up any scuffs to her paint and stand, she also retains her original tack with the addition of a pair of aged reins, stirrup leathers and stirrups as hers were missing when she arrived. Her stand bears the F.H.Ayres name on the top bar between her front legs.
Arabella is a lovely example of a small F H Ayres horse and boasts a lovely flowing mane and tail. We are unsure if this is original or whether it has been replaced at some point. She is ready to go and would be equally at home with a family, being ridden, or as a piece of fine furniture, however due to her age and unrestored condition we would love to see that preserved which will increase her value for her new owners.
Her measurements are:
F H Ayres are known as the 'Rolls Royce' of rocking horse makers and a horse of her quality would most likely have been sold in Harrods and Selfridges.
